Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ New MONSTERS & MUTANTS Figures Celebrate Classic Monsters

Reflecting the fifth and final season of TMNT’s popular series on Nickelodeon, these figures are cleverly-detailed and instantly collectible.

IF YOU’RE a fan of Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series (re-titled Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for its current, final season), you already know that the series has been to some pretty weird places of late—like Count Dracula’s Transylvania, and the year 1987! But by far the coolest developments of the season concern a plot by arch villain Savanti Romero to unleash an army of monsters on New York City, resulting in a series of plot twists that find Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Leonardo mirroring four of the screen’s most iconic monsters.

There’s Frankendon, Werewolf Mikey, Mutant Mummy Leo, and Vampire Raph, all of which are now available in stores as a line of action figures from Playmates Toys.

And if you know your classic monsters you’ve really got to appreciate the detailing here, like the single bolt atop Frankendon’s head, or the lightning-strike cracks on his under-shell. And how about Werewolf Mikey’s varsity jacket? It’s a direct reference to 1957’s I Was a Teenage Werewolf!

That, my fellow fans, is how a collectible becomes a cool conversation piece.

All in all, it’s a Halloween treat for TMNT and old-school monster fans alike.
